China's shield remanufacturing breakthrough main bearing bottleneck

China's first remanufactured shield using domestically-made main bearings rolled off the assembly line in Hefei on the 26th and passed the acceptance of the China Quality Certification Center. This marks that China has broken through the bottleneck of independent research and development of main bearings in the field of shield remanufacturing, ending the history of China can not produce such high-end bearings.

This equipment is an earth pressure balance shield remanufactured to adapt to Hefei stratum tunneling organization. China Railway Tunnel Group pioneered the adoption of a scientific research + manufacturing order-based production model. Under the leadership of the scientific research team of the State Key Laboratory of Shield Tunneling and Tunneling Technology, it has joined forces with Luoyang LYC Bearing Co., Ltd. to realize the localization of shield main bearings.

It is understood that the new main bearing has a diameter of 2.6 meters, which can meet the requirements of continuous working hours of shields with a diameter of 6-7 meters for more than 15,000 hours. It has formed 6 independent intellectual property rights and a number of special standards such as raw material design, marking that China has mastered the core technology of tunnel shield machine, breaking the technological monopoly of a few foreign companies.
