High-end bearing industry demonstration base project landed in Qingdao

On July 25, 2021, the high-end bearing industry demonstration base project was launched in Qingdao West Coast New District.

The project is a CAS science and technology innovation platform, jointly initiated by Qingdao Science and Technology Bureau, Qingdao West Coast New Area Management Committee and CAS Institute of Metals, with a total investment of 1.3 billion RMB for the construction of Qingdao High-end Bearing Research Institute, Industrial Demonstration Base and High-end Bearing Industrial Park, etc.

According to the introduction, the project aims to promote China's import substitution capability in bearings and other major products, and is planned to absorb more than 100 high-level talents after completion, with an annual output value of more than 1 billion yuan and an annual tax revenue of more than 50 million yuan.
