What are stainless steel bearings for?

Conventional bearing steels with high chromium content have low corrosion resistance. Because of this, the service life of bearings in wet conditions or in the presence of strong acids and oxidizing agents is several times shorter than the design values. The most obvious solution in such cases is to use bearings made from different types of stainless steel.

Fields of application for stainless steel bearings:

Medical equipment and tools;

Equipment for working in low temperatures;

High speed machine tools;

Printing machines;

chemical equipment;

food processing equipment.

In all these cases, the use of stainless steel extends the service life of bearings many times and reduces unscheduled maintenance shutdowns to a minimum.
